MSL Curiosity app for iPhone and iPad

Explore Mars through the eyes of rover Curiosity with this app for the iPhone and iPad.

From the "Featured" tab bar, view images that have been selected to be particularly noteworthy. These images have typically undergone additional processing to add color, 3D, or create a panorama from a mosaic of individual images. The images are zoom-able and scroll-able so you can explore the details. Each image (Vista) has an Info button presenting an explanation of its significance and circumstances.

From the "Select Camera" tab bar, choose one of the six types of cameras on-board Curiosity to view the same raw images you would see if you were sitting in the Mission Control Room. The images are presented (play button) as a slide show with a 4 second transition time. Use the fast forward or rewind buttons to scan the images quickly and the pause button to stop and explore an interesting image. All images are zoom-able and scroll-able. Dont miss the landing video using the MARDI camera.

NOTE: This app requires an internet (WiFi) connection to download the images from Curiosity.
